Steele Bridge

EDIT: Segment has been changed due washout of first water crossing. Knee slappers and the crossing have been removed. At the fork just after water crossing the segment starts just before the rock garden. The route to the start has changed. You will go backwards on the return loop. After canyon side run go right and that trail will take you to the beginning. Same finish point. Park at Historic Sweetwater River Bridge. Just past and across the street from McGrath Family YMCA. You can park at bridge. After bridge on right the parking lot is currently closed due to flood damage. Steel Bridge times in just after the bridge on the smaller single track entrance called Knee slappers between two rocks (this route has been removed) . It times out just after the wood bridge and cluster of rocks on the uphill where the trail splits. Enjoy the spot. it's a fast segment with a variety of trail conditions including some chunky sections on the down hill after the large boulder, embedded rocks to bonk, techy soft sections and DG base on others. The best times will be based on the best chosen lines. Loop after the segment to run multiple times. Note: there are a variety of hidden and public training ground trails in the area. If exploring east crossing Campo Road be aware of fast moving traffic. It is better to head slightly north and cross at the light. Food and charging available in near area. Be aware and respectful of hikers and MTB.
